is going off air on October 15 due to its low TRPs. However, as per the latest development, the show will now end on October 29.

Good news for the ‘Dill Mill Gayye’ fans! The show has got a temporary relief as of now as it has been given an extension of two weeks by the channel. Recently, it was reported that the popular youth based show of Star One is going off air on October 15 due to the low TRPs. However, as per the latest development, the show will now end on October 29.

The channel has claimed that it will offer the best of the show during these last few episodes.  The viewers can look forward to a comeback of the old gang to say good bye to their ardent fans in style, which will definitely leave the audience mesmerized.

Dill Mill Gayye is a youth based show, aired on Star One, mon to fri at 8.00pm. It started three years back with Shilpa Anand and Karan Singh Grover as the lead actors. The story revolves around Dr. Riddhima (played by Shilpa Anand) and Dr. Armaan (played by Karan Singh Grover). The show enjoyed its highest trp during its first year. Shilpa Anand, had to leave the show after 9 months. After that this role was played by Sukirti Khandpal, who was yet again replaced by Jennifer Winget.

Dill Mill Gayye, the serial quite popular among the youth, is going off air by October 15th.
Not surprising because the TRPs of the show had crashed completely in the past few months and desperate attempts to revive the ratings didn't work. The makers even brought back Karan Singh Grover (Dr Armaan), who had quit the show over some differences, but that didn't help. They did something even more ridiculous by bringing back Shilpa Anand (original Dr Riddhima), who had left the show and was replaced by another actress. Anyway, after trying out some twists, it seems like the channel has taken a final call on Dill Mill Gayye. After all with the fierce competition around, the new mantra is 'shape up or ship out'.

Now Shilpa is all geared up to enter Rajan Shahi's ‘Chaand Chhupa Badal Mein’ this week, in a special cameo. Shilpa is very happy and thrilled about this role, as she is getting a chance to play not only a Marathi lady, but also to get dressed in the typical nine yard sari with proper traditional ornaments. Tulaskar told TellyCafe. com in a candid chat, “I was dressed in complete Marathi get up last time for serial ‘Ladies Special’ when we had this special episode for Ganpati festival. But this time I will doing a special cameo role.”

Elaborating about her character she says, “Nivedita (Neha Sargam), the lead of the show, is in a big dilemma. I’m her Dadi’s friend's daughter and when my character enters the show, she brings Ganpati Bappa at Nivedita’s place. You can say that I play a mediator for Nivedita. I help her understand all the rituals of Ganpati’s pooja. Soon I make out that Nivedita is in some kind of a mess and so my character tells her that Lord Ganesha removes all worries from everyone’s life, so pray from your heart and tell him all your problems. He will definitely answer all your prayers by showing you right path. Nivedita believes me and follows my advice."

Shilpa’s character is a cameo for one episode and is likely to bring in a high point in the show in this Ganpati Ustav.

This week, all episodes will have God's presence in one form or the other and will be the guiding force for Nivedita.

Karan Wahi

Everyone wants to play the good guy and when suddenly your character is made negative, it does upset.

Karan Wahi's track in Dill Mill Gayye is likely to undergo a change. His character Sid is likely to turn negative and we are sure Karan won't be happy with this turn of events. The TRPs of the serial have dropped and in a bid to raise them, the production house and channel are trying all sorts of stunts.

Past few months saw them bring back actors who had quit the show and now they are trying out various twists and turns to lift the serial. Let's see if this works!
